Ironworks is one of the fitness programs at Five Forks Baptist. On Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30 we have guys only workouts. On Saturdays at 10 am we have a co-ed workout. I will post the WOD’s (Workout of the Day) on my main page so you can know what to expect when you show up. We have also added a co-ed Kettlebell class on Tuesday night at 7:15.
Hey Eric, love, love, loved, the Ironworks class last Thursday night. It was really intense. I know not to do my cardio workout the morning before your class, LOL. Hey, was wondering when you were going to post the WOD for this Thursday 7/22/10. I am excited, and nervous all at the same time. You are a great guy but you are sick man…
) You really know how to push a guy to the limits, which I like. Let me know when you have posted this weeks WOD. Thanks Tom Arnold

I am anticipating WOD #3 my friend. I loked it up on YouTube. If it is the same then I will enjoy it. I may only do one quarter of the WOD but I’ll enjoy it. Thanks “youth guy”.

I’ve appreciated the warm welcome to your classes, a great group of folks. It’s definitely thrown a sabot in to my routine and it’s always easier to push it in a group setting or with a lifting partner than by yourself. Looking forward to more pain.

Denise was digging on the CrossFit, thank you all for welcoming her. BTW, she almost fell asleep and took a nap at the bday party we had later on that afternoon, LOL.

Hello Eric,
I am interested in the Kettlebell class at Five Forks church. Are you still offering it? Also, do you have any advice on what weight of kettlebell one should purchase?
Thanks!
Becky

Becky thanks for the interest. We have kettlebells on Tuesday night at 7:15pm. We meet in the Fellowship Hall at Five Forks. My wife is the instructor and she uses a 10 and a 15 lb bell. The weight depends on the movement. If you have one bell I would suggest going to the lighter side at first. Kettlebell training is a great combination of strength and cardio conditioning. We have some bells that stay at church, what weight do you think you need and I will pull one aside for you tomorrow night?

Eric, I have actually never done kettlebells ever!
But I have very much been wanting to try them out. Maybe since I’ve never done it before, the 10 lb. kettlebell is the way to go. For the class, do you need one or two kettlebells? Thanks so much! Becky

I will set aside a ten for you tonight. Usually one bell is the best starting point. You would possibly need two if you want a heavier weight for some of the strength elements. See you tonight!
